What is an Echocardiogram?

An echocardiogram, commonly referred to as an "echo," is a non-invasive ultrasound test that uses sound waves to create detailed images of your heart. This test helps assess:

• Presence of fluid around the heart

• Blood flow patterns

Echocardiograms are instrumental in diagnosing various heart conditions and guiding treatment plans.

Billing: This service is bulk billed, ensuring no out-of-pocket expenses for Medicare-eligible patients.

Echocardiogram appointments are available fortnightly on Fridays.
